Only Carson Storch would look at a 150-year-old railway and think, “Yeah, I could jump that.”
With Mount Washington as his backdrop and nothing but sky under his tires, this is freeride history mid-flight.
Iconic location, legendary send.

Video of the Day
"Gone riding, be back never." Forget screen time; it's trail time.
Greta Weithaler and her four-legged sidekick Malou took on the Dolomites and proved that the best notifications come from trail rocks, not smartphones.
With her Cannondale Habit LT, she’s rediscovered what freedom looks like: mountain air and dog drool.
We watched this a few times… mostly because of the dog’s stoke levels.

Bonus: The 110-footer at Dark Fest has been Matt Jones’ nemesis for three years, and this year, he finally conquered it.
With nerves of steel, watch his POV and FPV footage for the wildest send of the season.

Send of the Week
Flipped, spun, and landed like it was second nature - this cash roll by Kaden Steeves was absolutely textbook.
Darkfest 2025: The Results Are In - Who Dominated the Jumps?

Another Darkfest and we’re still trying to process what happened.
The ninth edition came in swinging with six days of monster sendage, blown minds, and questionable hair decisions, all under the ever-watchful eye of Sam Reynolds, the godfather of going big.
If you thought last year was wild, 2025 said “hold my dropper post.”
Every session had at least one “did they just do that?” moment, and we’re fairly certain someone landed a trick from another timeline.
The course was fast, the jumps were massive, and the energy? Think mosh pit, but everyone’s holding a camera and covered in sunscreen and chain lube.

This year’s lineup was straight fire:
Matt Macduff, Chelsea Kimball, Bienve Aguado, Robin Goomes, Dylan Stark, Lucy Van Eesteren, and a bunch more absolute send merchants came out swinging with plus-size tricks, monster whips, and enough style to start a clothing brand.
“The energy was off the charts. Riders were sending it every session, and the course ran better than ever,” said Sam Reynolds, still holding a shovel like he might build a bigger jump mid-interview.
But what’s Darkfest without the awards?
Rider-voted and full of chaos, here are the results.
Darkfest 2025 Results
King & Queen of Darkness – Matt Macduff & Chelsea Kimball
Muc-Off Filthiest Whip – Vinny Armstrong & Alessio Tonoli
Dewalt Best Moment – Lucy Vaneesteren, Finley Kirschenmann & Talus Turk
Kenda Mind Bender – Robin Goomes & Kaidan Ingersoll
Insta360 Best Run – Bienve Aguado & Vaea Verbeeck
Insta360 Hotshot Award – Jack Schliemann

Want to relive the madness?
Head to Sam Reynold’s YouTube and the DarkFest Insta.
Expect raw runs, sketchy landings, and more mid-air high fives than legally recommended.
Massive thanks to the legends keeping this rocket ship afloat: Monster Energy, Kenda Tires, Insta360, Dewalt Tools, Muc-Off, Spank Industries, and iXS - all fueling the freeride dream and helping build the kind of course you don’t tell your mom about.

Trail of the Day
Leave of Absence - Squamish, British Columbia

You’ll breeze through the blue sections until the black comes out swinging, throwing rocks and roots in your face.
Finish strong, maybe, but you’ll definitely be walking out of that last section wondering how you’re still standing.
You’ll need a ‘Leave of Absence’ after this one.

Laugh of the Day
Sums it up 😂
