Photo of the Day

Proof that downhill is timeless, even when drained of color.

Locked in at Pan American Championship MTB 2014 in Barbacena, Brazil.

Can’t say it gets any better than this.

Video of the Day

Two enduro maniacs.

Two MTB brothers.

One trail that’s seen more carnage than a demolition derby.

Walker and Bolt light it up on the motos, before tagging in the Jones brothers to do what they do best: fly sideways down hell’s staircase.

Strategic handoffs? Maybe.

Mostly it's about chaos, roosts, and bragging rights.

Bonus: The final Canada Cup at Sun Peaks was less of a race and more of a mud-caked, rock-slinging therapy session for people with commitment issues and fast hands.

Every turn was a coin toss, every straightaway a death wish.

Somehow, the riders made it down upright. Sort of.

🏆 Red Bull Hardline: Three Years of Madmen, Mayhem & Momentum (2021–2024)

Hardline is a full-throttle test of nerve, skill, and the outer edge of what’s possible on two wheels.

Nestled in Wales where the sheep outnumber the locals and the wind wants you dead, it’s the ultimate test of who can thread a DH bike through a minefield of moon-booter jumps, sniper roots, and boulder fields that whisper, “you sure you wanna ride this, bud?”

Let’s relive the last few years of carnage, comebacks, and cautionary tales that were ignored for our entertainment.

2021 — Bernard Kerr: The Chill Reaper Rides Again

Time: 2:33.533

Bernard Kerr pulled off the rare feat of making one of the most terrifying tracks on Earth look like an afternoon warmup lap.

With qualifying canceled due to wind and many of the top dogs opting out or getting ejected, Kerr kept his cool and turned in a lap that was part downhill clinic, part Jedi mind trick.

He greased the 60-foot step-down like he was double-checking his suspension in mid-air, floated the rock gardens with surgeon-level accuracy, and crossed the line looking like he could’ve gone again.

A third title, calmly claimed.

2022 — Jackson Goldstone: First-Try Knockout

Time: 2:20.525

18 years old.

First Hardline ever.

Wins it like it’s a high school science fair.

Goldstone descended with the kind of buttery smooth confidence that makes grown men weep.

His run was pure rhythm and flow, with every gap, drop, and sniper line linked like a symphony of speed.

He credited “a bit of luck.”

Nah.

That was raw talent, unmatched composure, and suspension that’s clearly been blessed by some sort of bike deity.

2023 — Mother Nature Says “Nah”

Time: N/A

2023’s race was shut down before it began, at least for the men.

High winds ripped through the Welsh hills and made it clear: not today.

But while Wales went quiet, Tasmania got loud.

Down in the Southern Hemisphere, Gracey Hemstreet etched her name into history as the first woman to complete (and win) a Hardline course.

Her run was clean, aggressive, and fearless.

No holds barred, no foot out, no backing down.

2024 — Ronan Dunne: Irish Thunder, Double Trouble

Time: 2:23.045

Rónán Dunne came to Wales with a debt to settle.

And he paid it in full.

His run was violence wrapped in finesse.

Green split after green split, he pieced together a Hardline lap that pushed Kerr into second and Colombia’s Juanfer Vélez into third.

The man rode like the track owed him beer money, and he wasn’t leaving until he collected.

Not only did he win, but he became the first to win Hardline on two continents.

If you heard thunder that day, it wasn’t the sky, it was Ireland cheering.

Result: Rónán’s a double champ. Kerr’s a double bridesmaid.

🏁 Hardline Over the Years

From Kerr’s monk-mode mastery, to Goldstone’s baby-faced blitzkrieg, to Dunne’s furious double flex, Hardline has become less of a race and more of a damn rite of passage.

🎥 Watch the runs. Feel your palms sweat.

And remember: this isn’t downhill. This is Hardline, and it’s rewriting the rulebook, one ridiculous feature at a time.

Trail of the Day

Falla Brae Red Mountain Biking Trail - Peebles

Ah yes, the classic bait-and-switch.

A smooth roll-out lulls you into comfort before the climb slaps you.

You’ll share the early section with the blue crowd, wave politely before disappearing into a ribbon of twisty switchbacks that look like someone scribbled on the hillside with a Sharpie.

It skips the black chunk, which is great if your ego’s been bruised lately.

Still, don’t snooze on this one, it’s short, snappy, and finishes with a grin you’ll need a crowbar to remove.

That’s all for today folks. We hope everyone gets some saddle time out there. See you all tomorrow! 🤙
