There are fast riders, and then there’s Super Bruni!

The Photo of the Day throws it back to his UCI DH World Cup performance in Lousã, Portugal (2020).

A fitting tribute to his savage win this week.

Liquid Sunshine is the kind of edit that’ll have you questioning if you’ve been doing mountain biking wrong your whole life.

Two bikes, endless creativity, and just enough rain to keep it spicy.

Dylan and Zak prove once again that nothing is off-limits, everything is sessionable, and all of us need to step up our game.

⏰ Watch time - 3 min 53 sec

Bonus:  Picture this - you’re on top of the world, the trail drops into nothingness, and your only thought is, ‘I really hope these pads hold up.’

Wandering Wheels delivers yet another day of epic, slightly terrifying mountain sendage.

Clear skies, clear trails, unclear survival odds.

You’ll need nerves of steel, and a mindset that says, ‘Yeah, I’ll ride that’ to get through this one.

Downhill World Cup 2025 – Bielsko-Biala

The downhill season has officially begun, and it did so by punching the weather app in the face.

After a week of meteorological mood swings that ranged from light drizzle to biblical deluge (with a bonus snow garnish at the top), the World Cup kicked off in Poland with riders skating down a course that looked like it had been power-washed with grease, and then rolled in ruts.

Let’s dive into who surfed the sludge and who got swallowed by it.

Junior Women – Give Them the Podium

Rosa Marie Jensen decided to make her World Cup debut by absolutely ruining everyone else's afternoon.

Leading every split and riding like the course was made of grippy dreams instead of sopping nightmares, she came in 4.6 seconds ahead (basically a lifetime in downhill terms).

Someone get this girl a cape.

Lina Frener wasn’t messing around either. She went from fifth to second like she found a warp pipe halfway down.

And Eliana Hulsebosch took third, proving once again that if you're not crashing, you're not trying hard enough. But if you are crashing, you're probably finishing 10th (sorry, Asa).

Also, a moment of silence for Aletha Ostgaard, who donated 10 seconds to the Mud Gods at split one.

Generous, but ill-advised.

Junior Men – Max Alran is Still Inevitable

Max Alran came back from 2024 and said, “I’m still him.”

He torched the course and even beat Loic Bruni’s quali time, which feels borderline illegal.

Tyler Waite got to know the hot seat a little too well, baking in anticipation until Alran roasted his hopes with the last run of the day.

Third went to Oli Clark, who probably felt fast until he saw Max’s time and reconsidered his life plan.

Asa Vermette, the reigning champ, did what any great rider does in the face of treacherous conditions: he slid out early, did some bonus track inspection, and still managed to finish 10th.

That's grit. Or stubbornness. Hard to tell in this sport.

Elite Women – Rain, Pain, and Seagrave Reigns

PC: WBD Sports / WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series / Red Bull Content Pool

As the heavens opened and dropped everything they had (rain, snow, regrets), the elite women fought through what can only be described as aquatic combat on wheels.

Anna Newkirk set the early time like a boss, holding the lead through a biblical downpour.

Then came Tahnee Seagrave, riding with split times that looked like she was cheating physics.

A small hiccup in sector four made it spicy, but she clawed her way to a win with a wild, slippery run.

Nina Hoffmann claimed third, Camille Balanche slotted into fourth, and Vali Höll rounded out the top five after the track said “no thanks” to her usual pace.

Elite Men – Bruni’s Polish Perfection

PC: WBD Sports / WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series / Red Bull Content Pool

The elite men’s race was a rotating door of “Oh damn, that’s fast!” followed by “Oh wait, nope—this guy’s faster.”

Amaury Pierron kicked off the real mayhem with a banger of a run that left most of the field blinking in disbelief.

Meanwhile, things heated up off the track too.

Check out this video where Ben Cathro digs into a potentially controversial moment from qualifying in Poland.

Then Oisin O'Callaghan reminded everyone he’s not just here for the vibes, he's here to ruin your podium dreams.

He slid into the hot seat with a 0.652 second lead and sat there looking nervous as hell while Loic Bruni was still to drop.

Bruni? The man delivered. Again.

Fastest at split one, never looked back, probably didn’t blink. He pulled off a run so precise it might’ve been laser-guided.

Perfect weekend. World Cup win.

The rest of the field? Left to wonder if Loic is even human anymore.

Race Conditions? Chaos. Absolute Chaos.

Let’s summarize:

  • Snow at the top, slop at the bottom.
  • Riders going full hydroplane by sector three.
  • Chains falling off, dreams being crushed, mechanics crying quietly in the tech pits.
  • The hot seat was more like a sauna—wet, uncomfortable, and full of suspense.

That’s All From Poland... For Now

Bielsko-Biała delivered a hell of an opener, and if this is any sign of the season to come... we're gonna need a bigger hose and a therapist.

Now go wash your bike.

Trail of the Day

Predator - Tiger Mountain State Forest

PC: : ericashley

"Predator" doesn't just sound intense. It is intense.

Think fast berms, techy rock gardens, and enough roots to keep your suspension praying for mercy.

It's a double black squirrel catcher that’s more like a sneaky black diamond with a side of 'hold on tight.'

Climbing 2,000 feet to the top is just the prelude, this trail is where the real symphony of speed begins.
