Red Bull Rampage dates dropped along with this shot of Tommy G.

Seeing this kind of riding feels like eavesdropping on a private conversation between rider and mountain.

Video of the Day

There’s something about high alpine scree that turns normal riders into gravel-eating lunatics.

Tucker, Kelend, and Myles dive in headfirst.

The rocks are loose, the send is non-negotiable, and the brakes are mostly vibes.

Somewhere between friendship and fear, this becomes the kind of ride you don’t forget.

Bonus: Sunburns, speed wobbles, and SCOTT Ransoms at full tilt.

One island wasn’t enough, so they added another.

Brendan and Needles are back with another perfectly painful masterpiece.

Bonus: Brice Shirbach heads into New Hampshire’s southwestern hills, where moose tracks and loam are equally common.

The lakes are cold, the granite’s older than your ancestry, and the trails are pure poetry.

This is what mountain biking looks like when it matters.

New World Cup Venues Announced for 2026: Asia and the U.S. Step Up

The 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series is going global in a way we haven’t seen in decades.

On July 31, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports and the UCI officially confirmed two all-new venues that will help redefine the landscape of elite MTB racing: PyeongChang, South Korea, and Soldier Hollow, Utah (USA).

These additions mark a pivotal moment for the series, delivering fresh terrain, Olympic-level infrastructure, and the kind of global reach the sport’s been hungering for.

🇰🇷 Asia Enters the Chat – PyeongChang, South Korea

Let’s start with the big one.

PyeongChang is hosting both Downhill and Cross-country events, making it the first ever Asian stop for XCO/XCC and the first World Cup Downhill on the continent in 25 years.

Yes, you read that right, a quarter century since Asia last saw DHI action.

And it’s not just any venue.

PyeongChang famously hosted the 2018 Winter Olympics, which means it's not only ready to handle international pressure, it thrives on it.

Expect high-speed descents, rugged alpine features, and the kind of race-day drama that’ll wake up a whole new corner of the planet to this sport.

This isn’t just a race; it’s a moment.

A historical pivot.

A chance for Asia to get rowdy with the rest of us.

🇺🇸 Back to the Rockies – Soldier Hollow, Utah

On the North American side, we’re heading to Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah.

A venue that just hosted the 2024 Pan American MTB Championships and will soon feature in the 2034 Winter Olympics.

While Soldier Hollow won’t host Downhill this round, it will feature XCO and XCC, meaning it’s primed to show off everything brutal, beautiful, and deeply Type 2 about high-elevation cross-country racing.

If you thought Utah was just about red rock and Rampage, think again.

This venue brings long views, steep climbs, and tight descents that’ll test even the most seasoned lycra warriors.

🌐 Why This Matters

In the words of Chris Ball, VP of Cycling Events at WBD Sports:

“This is about connecting with new fans, delivering world-class experiences, and pushing the sport forward.”

He’s not wrong.

The inclusion of Asia and a deeper U.S. presence doesn’t just spice up the schedule, it plants flags in territories that are ripe for growth.

These aren’t filler venues. These are future icons.

🗓️ What’s Next?

The full 2026 World Cup calendar is dropping in the coming weeks, and if this teaser is any indication, we’re in for a wild ride.

Stay tuned.

Train harder.

And if you’ve got frequent flyer miles, maybe don’t cash them in just yet.

Trail of the Day

Karate Monkey - Whistler, British Columbia

Karate Monkey — because after dodging ninja cougars, you deserve a fast, flowy duel in the trees.

No pedaling, no braking, just pure rhythm and a wood bridge that feels like a bonus level.

That’s all for today folks. We hope everyone gets some saddle time out there. See you all tomorrow! 🤙
