Scenic as hell, and well earned.

Video of the Day
In this week’s speed-fueled soap opera, we’ve got Loudenvielle: where berms bite back and ghosted overlays reveal who’s really boss.
⏰ Watch time - 8 min 32 sec
Bonus: They said it couldn’t be done.
Then they said it shouldn’t be done.
But Jack Moir and crew did it anyway: 78km, 3500m up, and vibes for days.
Watching this might make your local trails feel depressingly short.

Save of the Day
Ejected like a crash test dummy, landed like a runway model.
Who’s Gonna Save the Trails? Spoiler: It’s Probably Not Chad

Picture this: you pull up to your favorite trail, sun’s out, PSI perfect, post-ride burrito already mentally ordered, and BAM.
A big ugly “No Bikes Allowed” sign hits you harder than that time you forgot to unclip.
Welcome to Wildwood Canyon Park, Riverside County’s slice of trail heaven, where mountain bikers are about to get ghosted... by the government.
On May 29, 2025, California State Parks basically texted every mountain biker “we need to talk.”
The 855-acre dirt playground is now under review, and depending on how the state classifies it, MTB access might go the way of your last derailleur: snapped, sad, and irreparable.

Let’s rewind: Wildwood has been open to bikes, hikers, horses, rattlesnakes, and probably at least one confused emu since 2003.
But now, with the park’s official designation up in the air, bikes could get booted entirely, because nothing says “we care about the outdoors” like banning the people who actually use it responsibly.
Back in the ‘80s and ‘90s, bikers were trail outlaws.
But instead of burning bridges (or fire roads), the MTB community chilled out, learned to yield, and even said “hi” to hikers without growling.
It worked, trails stayed open. But guess what?
That truce doesn’t come with a lifetime warranty.

Enter 2025: Wildwood’s in limbo, and there’s a meeting happening June 16 at the Yucaipa Community Center where the state will either greenlight the stoke or nuke it entirely.
And unless riders show up en masse, the default move will be a tidy little ban and a pat on the head like, “There, there, go ride a spin bike instead.”
MTB advocate and professional trail wrangler Steve Messer is trying to jumpstart some community action before the whole thing gets paved into a nature walk for retirees.

So here's the dirt gospel: it’s not just about riding, it’s about fighting for the right to ride.
And sometimes that fight includes showing up to meetings in cargo shorts and making passionate speeches that somehow include the words “gnarly switchback” and “community stewardship.”
If you love your trails like you love your dropper post, now’s the time to get involved.
What you can do:
If you’re in the area, attend the meeting!
Date: June 16, 2025
Time: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m
Location: Yucaipa Community Center Banquet Room 34900 Oak Glen Rd., Yucaipa, CA 92399
If you’re like us and don’t live in the area, send an email to the Inland Empire District expressing your concern!
Don’t be the guy who rage-posts after the ban from his garage trainer.
Be the one who stood up, said “Not today, park service,” and helped keep the dream alive for future generations of sketchy senders.
Wildwood Canyon is just the latest battleground. The war for dirt is ongoing.
Bring snacks, bring friends, bring polite outrage.
The trails aren’t going to save themselves.
Will you?
Dream Rides ❤️

Big energy demands big travel, and the Spindrift 5 delivers with a chassis built for abuse.
Fast on the descents, stable in the air, and surprisingly climbable, what more could we want?

Trail of the Day
Gatorback, Alafia River State Park

Think you’ve got what it takes? This trail says, ‘Hold my boulder.’
Steep climbs will crush your cardio, and the downhill rock gardens will chew up your wheels if you aren’t careful.
The pièce de résistance is the double drop, a thrilling double feature that’s equal parts send and survival.
It’s a trail that doesn’t just challenge you; it mocks you.
Ride it clean, and you’ll be a legend. Case it, and you’ll be a meme.

Laugh of the Day
That riding buddy with the gnarliest line choices 😂
