Photo of the Day

You know it’s Rampage when the “trail” looks like the inside of a Jenga tower mid-collapse.

Vaea Verbeek is living proof that hesitation is for people who still read the instruction manual.

Video of the Day

Two years, four countries, and a dozen riders who clearly don’t own ironing boards.

Oscar, Billy, and Nick stitched together freeride clips from Gloucestershire hedgerows to Queenstown cliffs, with a few questionable life choices in between.

This is a travel diary written in blood, dirt, and GoPro footage.

Bonus:  The Mega Line doesn’t hand out easy wins, but apparently, it does hand out childhood bragging rights.

Wes tricked it at ten years old, Cam kept it clean at fourteen, and Josh proved that nearly four decades in, you can still make the young guns sweat.

Twenty years in and the Canadian Open track still hits like the first drop of your favourite rollercoaster (fast, raw, and a little bit terrifying).

It’s the same strip of dirt where the late Stevie Smith became a national hero and where riders still come to sharpen their teeth chasing the King and Queen of Crankworx crowns.

This year’s kickoff to Crankworx Whistler didn’t disappoint. Gravity, grit, and bragging rights all on the line.

In the women’s race, Millie Johnset came charging down aboard her Gates gearbox Intense, stealing the win by a whopping 3.897 seconds.

Emmy Lan tried to close the gap but had to settle for second, with Indy Deavoll just behind in third.

The men’s side brought an Aussie showdown for the ages, with Luke Meier-Smith narrowly holding off Jackson Frew by 0.279 seconds.

Local legend Dane Jewett took third and probably the loudest cheers of the day.

Rasoulution Shares Details on BRS Festival, Including Swatch Nines, World Records, & Parties

PC: Rasoulution

If your September plans don’t involve watching the best riders on the planet huck themselves off art-project-meets-death-wish features, cancel whatever you’ve got.

From September 12–14, 2025, the Bike Republic Sölden Festival X Swatch Nines is rolling into the Alps like a circus of airtime and world records.

The Republic That Rides

Sölden isn’t just a bike park.

It’s a sovereign nation of dirt, loam, and rowdy energy where “citizenship” means you’ve got chain grease on your calves and dust in your teeth.

Over the last decade, it’s built a reputation for trails that make you grin like an idiot, views that make you forget your own name, and après-bike parties that make you forget the rest.

And after blowing out the candles on its 10-year birthday bash, Sölden is wasting zero time before the next party.

Swatch Nines – Now With Public Access (and Probably Screaming)

PC: Rasoulution

Two years ago, Swatch Nines was basically the secret handshake club of MTB events – no public, no problem.

Now, it’s been cracked open and poured straight into the BRS Festival, and you’re invited to the chaos.

Friday night’s Night Shoot will light up the “Dirt District” like a rave on Mars, with athletes launching into the darkness under floodlights.

PC: Rasoulution

Expect fireworks.

Expect screaming.

Expect to question whether humans are supposed to bend that way.

On Saturday, the Public Day brings another chance to watch the freak show of skill and style, with shuttles hauling you from the heart of Sölden up to Grünwald so you can gawk in comfort.

Dirt District – Where Sanity Goes to Die

PC: Rasoulution

The course? A Slopestyle Line full of features that look like they were designed by a caffeinated architect with a vendetta against knees.

A Freeride Line that trades subtlety for speed, flow, and 20-meter gaps that would make your mom cry.

Confirmed hitters include Erik Fedko, Patricia Druwen, David Godziek, Nicolai Rogatkin, Robin Goomes and other people whose Instagram clips you watch on loop while your tea goes cold.

Ride-Outs with Royalty

PC: Rasoulution

This isn’t just a watch-and-drool event.

You can actually ride with the pros if you’re lucky enough to snag a spot via giveaways.

We’re talking Lukas Knopf, Casey Brown, Sam Reynolds, Peter Kaiser… you know, the type of riders who can land tricks you still can’t pronounce.

Win your golden ticket online or gamble for a last-minute draw at the festival. Bonus: some ride-outs lead straight into exclusive workshops on the Nines course.

Translation – they might actually teach you how to scare yourself properly.

Guinness World Records, Because Why Not?

As if the spectacle wasn’t absurd enough, local Austrian madman Mario Neurauter is lining up three Guinness World Record attempts: Highest Flat Drop, Highest Flat Drop onto a Target, and Highest Flat Drop 360 onto a Target.

From four meters up.

Because apparently, the regular ground is boring.

Side Quests & Shiny Distractions

Beyond the main show, BRS is a buffet of ridiculousness.

Bunny Höööp Contest (how high can you go before physics stages an intervention), Bike Limbo (same question, but lower), and Bike Obstacle Duels for those who want bragging rights and possibly some chainring-shaped bruises.

The expo and test area will have every new toy you can ogle, and there’s a kids’ program for the mini-shredders.

Ten Years, Countless Stories

PC: Rasoulution

The Bike Republic Sölden is officially a decade deep.

Born in 2015, it’s now one of Europe’s MTB heavyweights – a place where the trails are as memorable as the community that rides them.

They’ve even dropped a special anniversary video, Birth Of A Republic – 10 Years of Bike Republic Sölden, if you need a dose of nostalgia before the mayhem begins.

So, September 12–14 – clear your calendar. Book your ticket. Oil your chain. This isn’t just a festival.

It’s Sölden flexing what it does best: building trails, throwing parties, and making you wish you had one more day to ride.

Trail of the Day

Canyon of Fools Multi Trail - Sedona, Arizona

P.C: coastsidesuspension

From Mescal to Boynton, this 1.2-mile bi-directional gem dishes out exactly the right mix of “fun” and “questionable.”

Upper wall rides tempt you to channel your inner Remy Morton, while the lower Canyon of Fools demands commitment or offers sandpaper facials as consolation.

Preferred direction is northeast to southwest, because chaos feels smoother that way.

It’s a connector, a destroyer, and a photographer’s dream all in one.
