Fifty-Six Twenty: The World’s Longest Flow Trail Is a 5,620-Foot Descent Of Bliss

PC: ankhou

Eleven hours in the air.

Three hours in the car.

Two boxes of Timbits from Tim Horton’s down the hatch.

All roads led to one thing: 5620, the crown jewel of British Columbia’s trail game and officially the longest flow trail on Earth.

PC: steveshannon

You start at the base of Revelstoke Mountain Resort, hop a gondola, and then, because this trail makes you earn the magic, grind out another 4-mile climb to the tippy top (this is optional if you want to opt for a shorter ride).

By then, your legs are “warmed up”, but the moment you drop in?

Every ounce of effort disappears.

We’re talking 5,620 feet of nonstop rollercoaster, ripping through alpine, meadows, and hero dirt so good it feels like cheating.

The corners are buttery.

The views? Bananas.

The trail just keeps going and going.

It’s like they forgot to stop building it.

Pure, uninterrupted flight.

Not a single pedal stroke.

Just flow. For miles.

PC: ankhou

We hit the bottom grinning like fools and immediately turned around to do it all again.

Round two required another big climb (and a couple sour gummy worms for morale), but it was so worth it.

Over 2,000 calories burned, legs toasted, and possibly the peak moment of our mountain biking lives.

If there’s a Flow Trail Hall of Fame, 5620 is the main exhibit.

Go ride it.

Trail of the Day

Javelina Canyon (Old Mormon Section) Multi Trail - Phoenix

Pour one out for Mormon Loop.

The trail is now part of Javelina Canyon’s expanding empire.

South Mountain’s makeover gives us longer lines, better flow, and a healthy dose of “where the hell am I now?”

Even the signs got a glow-up.

That’s all for today folks. We hope everyone gets some saddle time out there. See you all tomorrow! 🤙

For the ❤️ of two wheels.
