Bonus Throwback: They say the hills are alive with the sound of music but at Dyfi Bikepark, it’s Kade Edwards shredding the soundtrack.
From big hits to buttery smooth transitions, this is freeride perfection.

Wildcards, World Cups, and the Return of Gwin-sanity: Loudenvielle Just Got Spicy

Wildcard Teams Unveiled for WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series Round in Loudenvielle-Peyragudes
The UCI and Warner Bros. Discovery (yes, that Warner Bros.) just dropped the guest list for round two of the 2025 WHOOP UCI Downhill World Cup in Loudenvielle-Peyragudes, France (May 30–June 1).
And it's wilder than a Red Bull-fueled group chat argument over tire pressure.
Six wildcard teams have officially been unleashed upon the French mountainside.
Returning to wreak havoc: Goodman Santacruz, Rogue Racing – SR Suntour, Kenda NS Bikes UR Team, and Team High Country.

PC: Crestline
And making their chaotic debut appearances: The Alliance and (sound the dramatic comeback trumpet)... Gwin Racing.
Yes, you read that right. Aaron Gwin - a man with more World Cup wins than anyone is back at it.
Now 37 and possibly powered by espresso and unfinished business, Gwin’s teaming up with fellow American Gavin Tomlinson and Canadian newcomer Michael Delesalle, who both just got promoted to Elite.
It’s like watching a dad show up to a college party, except he might win the keg stand contest and the race.

PC: Bartek Wolinski
Meanwhile, The Alliance is bringing some serious southern hemisphere heat.
Jackson Connelly, who cracked top-25 at Snowshoe in 2023, leads the squad.
Backed by James MacDermid and Ursula Summers - who’s just 16 and about to experience her first UCI World Cup.
As if that wasn’t enough speed and mayhem, keep an eye on Thibaut Daprela, Thomas Estaque, and Kye A’Hern - the kind of names you don’t want chasing you down a trail… or a hallway.
Oh, and in case you thought this was just a downhill party, Loudenvielle is also hosting round three of the UCI Enduro World Cup the same weekend.
It’s basically a buffet of bike racing, but with more bruises and less buffet.
Your Loudenvielle Wildcards, aka the Chaos Agents:
- Goodman Santacruz
- The Alliance
- Rogue Racing – SR Suntour
- Kenda NS Bikes UR Team
- Team High Country
- Gwin Racing

Thanks to new 2025 rules, each World Cup stop now has up to eight wildcard slots per event, meaning more room for spicy underdogs and comeback stories.
Wildcard selections are based on a top-secret list of UCI criteria that includes: rankings, rider profile, media presence, anti-doping history, continental vibes, and possibly how many stickers they have on their helmet.
So grab your snacks, charge your speaker, and prepare to yell “SEND IT” from your couch.
Loudenvielle is shaping up to be a beautiful, fast, and gloriously unhinged mess.

Trail of the Day
Broadway - Cumberland Trail Network

This trail doesn’t ask if you’re ready. It grabs you by the spokes and decides for you.
One moment you’re cruising, the next you’re airborne, rethinking every life choice that led you here.
Ride it clean, and you’ve earned the right to strut like you own the mountain.
Ride it sloppy? Well, at least the dirt’s soft. Kind of.
