Energy chews for the win!

If we’re being honest, we munch on these as a midday work snack as well…

There are lines… and then there’s whatever Szymon just rode.

That landing zone was more of a suggestion than a plan.

Szymon owns it, with style to spare.

Fast corners, loamy lines, and more style than should be legal on a trail bike.

Despite a cyclone and a spinal injury behind the lens, this Toowoomba session still brought the heat.

Big berms, big sends, and a reminder that when Aussies ride, they ride.

Bonus: Turns out the best lines come with a side of sunrise.

Kilian and Ludo took the long way through Lofoten - up, over, and across the most photogenic lines Norway could throw at them.

From ridgeline sends to surreal golden-hour trail slices, this one’s a love letter to mountain biking and the wild places it takes you.

Starling Cycles to the Tariffs: We’ll Eat Half the Crap Sandwich So You Don’t Have To

Starling Cycles 26er
PC: Road

Well, it’s official.

Bikes just got dragged into the latest episode of international “Who Can Make Trade Worse?”- and this time, UK-made frames are taking the hit.

Thanks to a shiny new 10% tariff on UK imports into the US, your dream of building up a boutique British brawler just got a little pricier.

But don’t panic just yet—Starling Cycles is stepping up with what they call a Meet-You-In-The-Middle Sale, offering 5% off across the board, for everyone, everywhere.

Why? Because they’re not about to let a bunch of aging politicians screw over their loyal US customers.

“We’re not about politics,” says founder Joe McEwan, “but neither are we stoked about a geriatric millionaire telling us who we can or can’t sell to.”

If that doesn’t sound like the voice of reason in a world losing the plot, we don’t know what does.

The timing couldn’t be worse.

With the industry still limping along after COVID, the last thing it needs is a bureaucratic kick to the derailleur.

And just to make things extra spicy, US trade law determines origin by frame, not by where the bike is built or what components it uses.

So even if you bolt it all together in the US with stars-and-stripes stem caps and freedom grease, if that steel frame came from the UK, it’s tariff time.

But Starling isn’t sitting on its hands. Instead of passing the cost directly onto you and blaming "market forces" or "the vibe being off," they're eating half the tariff themselves.

They’re not sugarcoating it either, they can’t afford to cover the full 10%, but they're doing what they can to “soften the blow.”

And frankly, in an industry where discounts usually mean “10% off last year’s neon camo,” this actually means something.

“We love our USA customers, and we’ll be damned if we leave them out in the cold,” reads the official statement.

And you know what? It feels good to be seen.

Starling has always been more than a bike brand.

They’re the anti-hype, steel-is-real weirdos building bikes by hand in Bristol while the rest of the industry obsesses over new standards no one asked for.

This move doesn’t just show backbone, it shows a brand that actually gives a damn about the people buying their bikes.

So if you've been eyeing a Murmur, Swoop, or Twist but hesitating because, well, the world's on fire, this might be the sign you were waiting for.

You’ll still get hit with a little import fee, sure.

But at least someone on the other end is trying to meet you halfway.

The deal's live now, worldwide.

The Starling Spur is a 170mm travel high-pivot enduro bike with a 9-speed EffiGEAR gearbox.

Just use the code MAKEBIKESGREATAGAIN and enjoy 5% off (we do not profit off this code).

Or don’t, and pay full price elsewhere to help fund your local bike brand’s next round of NFT headbadges and “sustainably sourced” marketing buzzwords.

As for Starling? They’ll be in the workshop, brazing frames and flipping off tariff spreadsheets with welding gloves.
