Happy Tuesday Send It Fam! We've got big sends, big history, and a big love for two wheels.
757 words of pure stoke.

Vali’s idea of suspension tuning is “don’t bother, I’m flying.”
And judging by the terrified roots trying to evacuate the hillside, they got the memo.

Video of the Day
Dirt Farm’s trails are a work of art, and Dan Paley is here to scribble his signature all over them.
This is freeride bliss at its finest.
⏰ Watch time - 2 min 14 sec
Bonus: Downhill racing in Leogang, but make it look like you just woke up from a nap and rolled onto the course.
Sleeper style meets shred-it-all vibes as these riders take on steep lines, tight corners, and a healthy dose of chaos.

Send of the Day
Reverse-send: To prove you’re actually as good as you say you are.
From Scientist to the World’s Fastest Downhill Racer
Let’s set the scene. It’s the late 1990s.
V-brakes are squealing, everyone’s fork has 80mm of “travel”, and your average downhill racer is basically a glorified crash dummy with a fanny pack.

PC: Beth Seliga
Meanwhile, Marla Streb is out here in a lab coat, doing AIDS research, minding her own scientific business, and unknowingly brewing up the kind of raw wattage that makes power meters flutter.
She’s commuting by bike to her literal science job, you know, the one where she’s busy saving lives, and realizes, “Huh… I’m kind of fast.”

Cut to a few local races later, and suddenly she’s skipping Petri dishes to absolutely obliterate race courses like she’s late for a thesis defense and the trail is in her way.
Then 1998 hits. Sea Otter Classic. Pro Women’s Downhill.
And who’s at the top of the food chain?
Only Anne-Caroline Chausson, the reigning UCI Downhill World Champion and destroyer of souls.
Anne-Caroline had so many rainbow jerseys they were considering giving her a personal spectrum.
Twelve-time World Champ. The GOAT.
And Marla?
Marla just shows up, probably still smelling faintly of latex gloves and laboratory-grade ambition, and beats Anne-Caroline by 0.3 seconds.
That’s Newton rolling over in his grave going, “Wait, what?”

It’s like if your neighborhood librarian entered a UFC match and tapped out Amanda Nunes.
And Marla? She just kept going.
She went full send on the whole sport, NORBA Downhill Champ, U.S. National DH Champ, Single-Speed World Champ (because why not humiliate people with fewer gears?).
While other pros were debating tire pressure, Marla was like, “I came here to ruin lap times and publish peer-reviewed beatdowns.”

PC: Tom Moran
She wasn’t a product of the system. She was a glitch in it.
A beautiful, chaotic lab-born anomaly who traded pipettes for podiums and decided to speedrun the entire sport.
So yeah, this Throwback isn’t just for blurry polaroids and questionable fashion choices.
It’s for Marla Freaking Streb, the scientist who dropped into the scene and made downhill racing look like her side hustle.
Respect the lab. Fear the rider.

Trail of the Day
Kill Me Thrill Me Multi Trail - Whistler, BC

Don’t let the downhill fool you, this trail is a cardio crusher in disguise.
Sure, there are flowy sections where you might think, ‘Wow, this is nice,’ but then it hits you with roots and rocks like it’s offended you showed up.
Exposed rock gardens add a sprinkle of danger to keep your heart rate in overdrive.
Every corner is a test of your fitness and your suspension setup.

That’s all for today folks. We hope everyone gets some saddle time out there. See you all tomorrow! 🤙
For the ❤️ of two wheels.
